Cycle The Bay Run

Mapthebayrun.jpg

The Bay Run is approximately 7 kilometres long, following the foreshores of Iron Cove Bay, through the inner city suburbs of Drummoyne, Fivedock, Haberfield, Leichhardt and Rozelle.  It is one of the most popular harbour side tracks in Sydney for walking, jogging, cycling or riding a scooter, and is accessible for everyone. There are speed signs for cyclists, and be aware of pedestrians who may stray onto the bicycle lanes.

The terrain is flat with a  well-maintained track that has separate lanes for walkers and cyclists clearly marked where possible.

The  Iron Cove Bridges spans the mouth of the cove, enclosing the Bay Run  loop. You can park your car anywhere along the track,  meaning you can start and finish at the same location.
