Cycle Rozelle and Blackwattle Bays

Maprozelleandblackwattlebays.jpg

This is a great ride around two of Sydney's inner-city bays, and is about 10 kilometres.

Start at the top of Foucart Street, near Regent Street in Rozelle, and ride past some  wonderful terrace homes down to Lilyfield Road, then turn left. When you reach Victoria Road, there is a bridge over the road. When you get to the other side, go left and immediately you will find a pathway to Anzac Bridge. Travel across the bridge, and exit onto Quarry Master Drive. Turn right down to Bank Street, cross the road and proceed to your left. I prefer to ride on the pathway around the Sydney Fish Market as there is a lot of traffic.

You are now on Bridge Road, so be sure to give way to pedestrians on the pathway. When you reach the entrance to Blackwattle Bay Park go right. Again, be aware of the pedestrians on the path. Half way along, signs will direct you Glebe. Ride along the shared Glebe Point Road. Along the way are many magnificent homes and terraces. There are also numerous cafes for a good coffee and something to eat.

Turn right at Wigram Road and after you go down the hill, go right into Minogue Crescent, which becomes The Crescent.  When you come to the park on your left, ride along the path and  under the road bridge. Follow the track to the corner of The Crescent and Johnston Street. Turn right at the lights and ride along the pathway with it's wonderful murals. When you reach the Rozelle Bay Light Rail sign, take the path to Railway Parade. Go right along the road  which becomes Brenan Street.

At Catherine Street, go right at the lights, past Lilyfield Light Rail Station, and turn right into Lilyfield Road. When you reach Foucart Street you have completed the Loop.
